Secondary School

Confidence Building For the Real World

The move to secondary education is fraught with challenges for any young learner, but we strive to overcome these through our secondary education policies. We focus on building new skills in our students so they can make this vital transition smoothly.

Our Lower Secondary Education Curriculum

Lower secondary education aims to introduce young learners to a complex new educational system that’s likely much more involved than they’ve ever known. As such, our lower secondary education curriculum serves to achieve the following:

For Key Stage 3

As they enter secondary education for the first time, our Key Stage 3 learners are introduced to the subjects of the iGCSE between years 7 and 9. This allows them the chance to:

For Key Stage 4

After transitioning to Secondary School in KS3, our students should now have all of the knowledge they need to further their learning at the KS4 level. We focus on the internationally-renowned Cambridge IGCSE system to give our students the best chances of success as they approach their future lives.

During these final few years with us, our students learn critical skills that will shape them for the future, helping them become well-rounded young adults with ambitious yet attainable goals in life.

Further Study Subjects

In addition to the standard subjects, our students have the opportunity to choose from many other topics of interest. These include:

PE (Physical Education)

We encourage our students to achieve a healthy lifestyle wherever possible, and our physical education classes help encourage this through a focus on balance, agility, and overall coordination.

Music

During our music classes, we encourage our students to focus on skills for composing, listening, and performing music – helping make them more well-rounded individuals, as a result. We also cover musical terminology and inspire self-confidence through these classes.

Arts

We think the arts are exceptionally important, offering a way for our students to represent themselves. As such, we encourage our learners to partake in the arts, and their work is displayed around schools to encourage pride.

CCA (Co-Curricular Activities)

In addition to our basic curriculum, we encourage our learners to participate in co-curricular activities, which help foster social integration and develop a sense of community among our learners.
